After I described my situation to them, along with the steps that needed to be taken before I could start taking medication, they volunteered to help me. Fantastic physicians! Wonderful people who are also extraordinarily compassionate doctors.

Our daughter had been prescribed a strong medication after she was hurt during gymnastics practice. We never expected it to lead to an addiction. We’re so grateful to the staff of Beachside for helping her when we could not.

Without Hillcrest’s compassionate staff, my daughter would not be with me today. They helped her gain the skills she needed to manage her depression and helped me learn to work with her. We still have rough days, but now we can cope with them when they come. Thank you, Hillcrest!

My mom was the only reason I agreed to attend The Meadowglade. I guess Mom’s always know best because I had a truly eye opening time there. I loved the facility, it felt like I escaped my normal life to better myself and gain some clarity. The workers were very kind and really loved helping everyone.

You can feel that they truly care about their patients and that they are people in crisis, but human first and that's what shows in the care they receive. Getting through a difficult situation is just part of life. We didn't know how hard the loss of my father was hitting my child until he started to discuss joining him. Our niece has been dealing with anxiety since before the pandemic and had started taking a turn down a scary path. We were there with her parents when reaching out to Beachside and what a tremendous help they have been in helping her deal with her anxiety and substance abuse. The Meadowglades staff not only understands the many different levels of mental health disorders, they understand that each person is different and the approach needs to be specific for them. I went for help with my Bipolar Disorder because my traditional therapy just wasn't quite enough. The addition of more experiential therapy, like yoga and aquatic modalities has really helped my mental health.

I’ve been on and off different antidepressants for the last 15 years. When it seemed like the newest one wasn’t helping, my regular doctor suggested TMS and referred me to the Los Angeles Outpatient Center. It’s been about two months and TMS has helped so much. My symptoms have dramatically decreased, and I’ve had a much better quality of life.
